This project is the one of our entries for Briccole design competition 2012.

When you slice a wood and look inside you can read its story by the rings, telling where it came from and what happened. While the briccole woods unique physical appearance comes from exposure to nature, it occured to we that the wood must have been equally affected by the venetian atmosphere. From different parts of Venice the Briccole experienced waterside romances, carnivals, cafe life and decorative architecture. With this table we wanted to tell the delightful story of where the Briccole have been and how being part of Venice has left its mark in their history.
