Security Swaddle is one of our proposal to Muji design award 2013. The topic is “ Long lasting design”.
The product is about a swaddle that grows with the baby becomes a security blanket and a scarf which full of memories. No matter its the first toy we have, the first blanket we get covered with, it is our human nature to attach to the smell and texture we are so used to and depend on. The little security blanket that is always with us in the dark night comforts us with the smell which puts us into a sweet dream.
The security Swaddle is made by two kinds of fabrics. One side is knitted fabric which provides the natural tightness for securing the swaddle to the body. The other side is made by fleece which provides a nice texture for the baby to touch. It acts as a swaddle, a blanket and a scarf as the child grows . The simple strips adjust the size to fit different usages. Every part of the adjust system is bigger than a baby’s mouth to avoid the baby accidentally swallowing it.
