The Big idea

Centerpiece was born as a decorative alternative to flower arrangements, but without the wastes of the modern flower industry.

Loving to decorate your space with beautiful flowers which give people a sense of refreshment and new mood each time is wonderful, especially for people who have no green thumbs [ like us ]. Unfortunately we often ignore the modern flower industry is not like picking a little flower in your own garden; all the flowers are air shipped from major flower export regions in Mid America, North Africa, South Asia and then brought to you.

THE INSPIRATION

After a happy but expensive wedding, our designers created Centerpiece to capture the feeling of candles and flowers often used in social gatherings. They wanted to offer a longer lasting decorative alternative, which would still provide the happiness of arranging a beautiful centerpiece, and reduce the large amount of wasted flowers from big one-day events. The result is a beautiful portable lighting which can decorate the dining table, garden, or any other space. The shape of Centerpiece reminds of flower petals around a central candle; you can choose between different petal patterns to create a new mood for each event or to create just the right atmosphere for your home.

HOW CENTERPIECE portable LAMP WORKS

Centerpiece portable lamp comes with a main body [ LED+battery base ] and your choice of many design patterns. You just simply slide 7 petal films into the main body and the lamp is ready to use. You can keep the USB cable plugged to the wall as with a normal table lamp, or after the battery is fully charged, you can freely move the lamp around cordlessly up to 7-8 hours!

You can use Centerpiece both indoor and outdoors. We recommend using ribbons or any other hanging materials of your preference to create beautiful light installations to enhance any space and atmosphere you desire. With the built in ring on the top creating hanging light arrangements for gardens or patios has never been simpler or easier!

There are so many colors and patterns we can do with our petal films. We will keep developing new ones every year so you can go online to pick and choose the ones fitting your space or special events. You can also purchase "blank canvas" non-patterned films to create something special just for yourself.

AWARD WINNING CONCEPT

BONNSU originally started developing this concept for a LED technology competition and eventually won the award. We were not able to make a fully working model at that moment but we already received many requests about where consumers could buy it during the awards exhibition. We felt this concept is really hitting the heart of people who enjoy the warmth of light and the pleasure of decorative environments. That was our moment to decide to bring this concept to the next step - a function model and eventually production.

Centerpiece is a safe and high quality product

We use low energy LEDs which last a long time and produce very low heat so there is virtually no risk of fire, but we still insist on only using certified fireproof plastics in the housing.

All the electronic components are certified to meet both CE and UL standards.

Longevity is a key point for Centerpiece from the design theme all the way to production details.

That is why we use a rechargeable lithium ion battery which will last up to 7 hours per charge. We want Centerpiece to last a very long time and never end in a landfill.

It was important for us to make sure that if any inner components ever failed or became old they can easily be replaced with new ones. We designed a removable LED module so none of our electronic components are permanently fused with the plastic, making it easy to separate materials for recycling.
